When you are bored...

...this is what happens. You start thinking of something, try a research and it goes on and on and you land up nowhere!

I was thinking of life and death. Why should people be born and then die. Cant they just not be born or not die? If science says, human beings came from monkeys, from where did monkeys come from? Who created animals? What made monkeys to stop upgrading themselves to humans now? Why arent there any more new species like birds upgrade to something weird? I dont know much about science, why people die, what happens after that etc

I do believe that there is one ruler/controller for the whole world. The bible says God created man and woman, Adam and Eve resp. and then to give them company created animals. Adam and Eve somehow found out how to mate and gave birth to Cain, Abel etc. Cain killed Abel. Now who will Cain marry? If Adam and Eve gave birth to 10 more kids, they will have to mate among themselves to produce some more people. When did people/what made them stop marrying their own sisters/brothers? In some countries, people dont marry cousins, some dont marry cousin sisters/brothers. When did people start fixing the age difference?
Human Beings to communicate used sign language, then drew the signs and then made alphabets, numbers, formed words. Who formed new words? Why did they stop making more new words?

Okay, now I just take for granted people are born, they live and now they die. When they are buried, the body decays, some cremate - so becomes ashes. Now does the life end there? Some believe, the soul goes to heaven/hell/purgatory based on their sins. Wont the heaven/hell/purgatory become over crowded because souls never stop coming. Some say people who die are reborn as something - human/animal. Is this recycling? So is it like at any time there are 100 human beings only, 90 are alive, 10 die and they are reborn?

Who decides who has to be born or to die? Who decides how a person should be born - male/female, normal, handicapped, to die immediately they were born? How a person should die? Which body part should stop working?

I guess, long long time ago, people died of even fever, cos they dint know, they should cover themselves, take rest, drink something warm etc. Later man learnt that trick, then he knew the trick of recovering from measles, then tumor, then heart ache etc etc. I'm sure very soon he will find the trick to recover from AIDS and all the other incurable diseases. Then what happens if a person is 80 yrs old, with all the organs in perfect condition -how long does he live? If this person dint meet with any accident or natural calamities etc, will he live forever? (I know, with existing violence very soon people wont even reach their 30's). If the world is completely in peace and people start living forever, then there wont be enough place!!

I can ask questions, make guesses but will never find any answer. If this life is what I have and even that I dont have any guarantee, anything will happen any second - shouldnt I live every second. I would want to be happy and not worry about anything. My life is important to me, the same is for others. Why can't I value every single life? Why do I want to kill them? Why can't I let people live their lives peacefully?

I know I need to wake up from dreaming. I will value every single life and will try my best to be good, caring, loving and helpful. I will try my best not to suck the happiness of others.

Indian kids born/brought up in US

I'm in US for past few years and I'm fully convinced, that when I get kids, I will move to India.

Kids in India (atleast thats how I was brought up - a middle class family). I never asked any elder relative (even younger ones), who visit us, why they came or that they should leave my house. If I had said this to someone, my parents would have smacked me. We play in streets with so many kids. We learn to share. We dont hurt others feelings, we obey.

These kids in US (kids I have met, there might be real good kids) think they just landed directly from the sky. Some kids even think Indians are weird and yucky. Being friends with non Indians is cool. And using the f word in every sentence is super cool. These kids do a lot of things without their parents notice. If you dont shop in Hollister, Fitch etc, you are the cheapest person on earth. They dont care if they hurt someone, they just want things done their way. I wouldnt hurt my parents, and would never give up my parents before anyone. These kids are just the opposite.

Most of the times, I feel like smacking these kids. I want my kid to be brought up the right way, humble and friendly. They should know to repect elders and everyone's feelings. India has its own ups and downs. But they never give me a heart attack like I get when I see these kids or hear them speak.

My 1st Date Request!

I was freaked out!
I was rushing to my office, on a lazy morning. On my way I meet this guy:
He smiles and I smile.

Guy: how are you doing?
Me : good.
Then he was pointing to his left ring finger and when he dint see a ring on mine,
Guy: Do you have a boy friend?
Me : No.
Guy : Can I have your phone number?
Me : *Smiles *No thanks.
Guy: Which country are you from?
Me :India
And I walk off.
Guy : You are pretty.
Me : Thanks!

Why did I get freaked out? He was not an Indian. If he was an Indian, will I give my phone number? If he was a handsome guy, will I give my phone number? I dont know!!!
I'm still the reserved, shy Indian girl. Maybe I would 1st like to get to know as a friend and then if there were any love waves, then something might be possible.
Maybe I'm weird!

Living in US of A

This is my personal opinion.

I still don't understand the hype in living in US. I wasnt excited when I first entered US. Let me try to do a quick comparison -
The weather in US is good and I get to "feel" summer, spring, autumn and winter. In India its only hot, hotter and hottest.
Roads are clean, people do follow traffic rules, less pollution, people mind their own business, you follow a schedule for every possible thing, people are punctual. If you wanna visit a friend/relative, you first call them (fix an appointment) and then go. In India, I've only seen clean roads in the morning, after it was cleaned. Otherwise people dump trash, spit etc. One's problem is everyone's problem, you cannot live without poking your nose. I can always give a surprise visit to my friend's or relative's house.
If you gift someone, you can be sure you will get something back, people are very straight forward, if its no, it is really a NO. Back in India, its polite to say no if someone offers somethings atleast once and then say yes. And here, if they are offered something its straight Yes or No. People dont offer again if it is a No.

With advance in technology, people spend more time before gameboy, Tv, ipod, computer but very less time with people. Even spending some time with your family is within time limits. You can never walk into your friend's house, if you feel low. I know people who go to the gym, when they are depressed. This technology craze is catching up in India too, still there are people who spend time for their family, visit friends etc.

In India, I was never alone, for lunch, if my friends were on leave and I had no company - I would skip my lunch, every day we meet (9 or 10 friends), weekends we go for movies, otherwise we go on a trip etc. Over here, I can go to a restaurant and eat alone, weekends I watch movies on my computer. There is no trip. I know this is because, this is how I chose to live. I can be a bit outgoing, speak to people, get new friends etc..Will see!

So of now I'm trying to count my blessings....

Pepper Chicken Recipe

This is how I do:

Ingredients:
2 tsps of pepper for a 2 lb chicken
1 tsp cumin seed
ginger-garlic paste
1 onion
1/2 tomato
garam Masala, salt

Grind 1/4 onion and 1/2 tomato to make a paste. Add the paste, 2 tsps of pepper powder, cumin seeds and ginger - garlic paste to the chicken and marinate it for about an hour.

In a tawa, add little oil, 3/4 of chopped onion and fry till it becomes golden brown. Add little garam masala and fry for 2 mins. Add the marinated chicken and cover it. Once it is cooked add salt and pepper powder(if needed).

My 1st post

I've been wanting to start a blog for a long time and now I did. This will be a place where I can put down my thoughts, vent my anger, share stories of my life, of people around me, the lessons I learnt etc etc.
Let me see how far I can take it forward. :)
